Your address, not a link that leaks
team.klaklak.com is yours for as long as you keep the room. Nobody else can take the name.
A guest list, not a password
You add e-mail addresses. Your guests get a link that signs them in, or a six-digit code. Remove someone and they are out at once, on every device.

It is a web page. It works on a phone, at work, behind a firewall, without an app and without an account for your guests.

You sign in with your e-mail address first; the plan is then one click away. Prices include VAT. Billed through Paddle, our reseller. Cancel in one click, any time — your room stays open until the period you have paid for ends.
Questions people ask
Who can read my room?
The people whose e-mail address you put on the guest list, and nobody else. Take someone off and they are out immediately, even if they still have the link. We do have to be straight with you about one thing: as the operator we can read messages in order to deal with abuse reports. Our privacy statement says exactly when and for how long.
What happens if I stop paying?
The room closes and your guests can no longer get in, but nothing is deleted. For thirty days everything waits exactly as you left it, and starting the plan again brings the room, the messages and the guest list straight back. After those thirty days it is deleted for good. We warn you by e-mail seven days and one day beforehand.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. Move from Basic to Pro whenever you like; Paddle works out what is left of the period you already paid for and settles the difference. Cancelling is one click from your account page, without writing to anyone.
Where are the messages stored?
On Cloudflare's network, in data centres in the European Union. A Basic room keeps the last fifty messages and clears itself after a day with nobody in it; a Pro room keeps the last five hundred and removes anything older than thirty days.
Can I put the chat on my own website?
Yes, and that is free. The embed page gives you a snippet you can paste into any site.
Who am I actually buying from?
klaklak is run by Hertge VOF in Oegstgeest, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce 88251918). Payments are handled by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record: Paddle is the seller towards you, charges the VAT of your country and sends you the invoice. On your statement it shows up as PADDLE.NET* KLAKLAK. The terms and the refund policy spell it all out.
